New Markets Tax Credits Help Talbert House Launch New Hamilton County Crisis Center at 510 Oak Street

In a major step forward for regional behavioral health services, Talbert House is developing the new Hamilton County Crisis Center in Avondale. The $11.7MM facility is supported by a $5MM federal and $1MM state New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) allocation from Uptown Consortium Inc. (UCI), a managed entity of The Port, and an additional investment from Fifth Third Bank. The Crisis Center will centralize urgent and ongoing mental health and addiction treatment services, serving up to 1,500 individuals annually and supporting more than 100 full-time jobs. It will house innovative programs, including a Crisis Receiving Center and transitional housing. With construction already underway and strong public-private support, the project is a model of how NMTC investments can drive equitable, community-centered care.

Rosemary’s Babies Co. Grand Opening

The Port joined Rosemary’s Babies Co. to celebrate the grand opening of the Holloway House and Resource Center in North Avondale. The Landbank, a managed entity of The Port, previously stabilized this historic property—originally designed by Samuel Hannaford in the late 1890s—in partnership with the City of Cincinnati. Now fully restored, the Holloway House will serve as a critical resource hub for teen parents, offering housing, workforce training, financial coaching, health and wellness services, and more. Congratulations to Rosemary’s Babies Co. and all the partners who made this impactful project possible.

7 West 7th Ribbon Cutting

In April, we were thrilled to join project partners for the ribbon cutting at 7 West 7th, debuting an incredible 341 new apartments in the Downtown core following the conversion of the former Macy’s headquarters building from office to residential. Transformative projects of this scale take strong vision, partnerships, and support, and The Port is proud to be a part of bringing new residences to Downtown. Congratulations to everyone who helped make this project a reality!
