About the Role
As a Finance & Accounting Intern/Co-Op, you'll support the Finance team with budgeting, reporting, financial analysis, and special projects. This internship offers a great opportunity to build practical accounting and finance skills while learning how financial management supports community development and real estate initiatives.
What You'll Do
1. Financial Reporting & Budget Support
- Assist with budget tracking and monitoring.
- Support account reconciliations and financial reporting activities.
- Help maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes.
2. Financial Analysis
- Prepare basic financial analyses and summaries.
- Create charts, graphs, and reports to communicate financial information.
- Compile and organize data for management review and decision-making.
- Assist with tracking financial performance and key metrics.
3. Audit & Project Support
- Assist with internal and external audit preparation.
- Gather documentation and support requests from auditors.
- Help with special projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Support Finance team members with administrative and analytical tasks as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Interest in accounting, finance, budgeting, or financial analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working with numbers and data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
