MaKayla Gentry
Real Estate Development Associate
MaKayla joined The Port as a Real Estate Development Associate in January of 2026, where she is a trusted resource for homeowners applying for our low-interest home repair loan program, which is designed to support low-income legacy homeowners by guiding them through the application process, eligibility screening, and completion of required paperwork. She plays a key role in ensuring homeowners receive the support they need, while also coordinating construction activities, managing project timelines, and maintaining relationships with contractors and community partners.
MaKayla has held leadership and internship roles with the City of Cincinnati, contributing to citywide sustainability initiatives and HR policy development, and she is a graduate of the Talent Development Impact Lab (tDIL), where she strengthened executive skills in strategy, change management, and data analytics. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership with a minor in Environmental Science from Northern Kentucky University and completed additional coursework in Biology and Liberal Arts at the University of Cincinnati. She will be graduating with her master’s degree in May of 2027 from Xavier University.
Outside of work, MaKayla enjoys mentoring youth, coordinating dance programs, and supporting community initiatives. She is the founder of The Classy Cats Majorette/Drill Team at the University of Cincinnati and remains active in local volunteer and leadership activities.
