Christen Stovall
Senior Accountant
Christen joined The Port as Senior Accountant, where she supports the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting across multiple entities. She plays a key role in month-end close, general ledger reconciliations, cash management, and audit preparation, while also contributing to process improvements and serving as a knowledgeable resource for her colleagues on the finance team.
Christen brings extensive experience in nonprofit and governmental accounting, with roles at the Housing Authority of Covington, the City of Cincinnati, the David J. Joseph Company, and Cincinnati Public Schools, where she led month-end close processes, managed multi-entity reconciliations, and oversaw budget and grant accounting. She began her education at Cincinnati State before going on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with honors from Xavier University, followed by a Master of Science in Accounting and an MBA in Finance from American Public University. Christen also serves as an Adjunct Instructor at Cincinnati State, teaching Financial Accounting.
A Cincinnati native, Christen is married with five young children and enjoys all forms of dance, especially ballet. She has a longstanding commitment to community involvement, having served on the Every Child Succeeds Board and participated in initiatives like Accounting for Kids Day throughout her career.
