Development Brings Needed Affordable Senior Housing to Norwood

The Montgomery & Maple project will redevelop the former Quality Inn site at the corner of Montgomery Road and Maple Avenue into a new 178-unit affordable senior housing community.

Through its Public Finance practice, The Port provided financing assistance to help structure the deal and improve overall feasibility. By pairing innovative financing tools with a community-focused vision, The Port works behind the scenes to unlock complex sites and make transformative development possible.

The development is being led by PLK Communities in partnership with Birge & Held and represents a significant reinvestment in a key corridor in Norwood.
