Family-owned manufacturer expands in Harrison, Ohio

Lease Structure aids expansion of growing food service provider

The Port entered into capital lease agreements in 2016 with JTM Food Group to expand the growing company’s existing production facility in Harrison, Ohio, including a commercial freezer facility and a $26 million manufacturing plant needed to accommodate the growth of the business. The Port’s Public Finance team was brought in to help with JTM’s development needs by REDI Cincinnati. The City of Harrison, JobsOhio and HCDC were also involved in the collaborative effort needed to make the expansion a reality. The new facility, opened in May of 2018, increases capacity as JTM continues to expand its reach, which now includes thousands of schools, restaurants, military and government organizations, food distributors and retailers throughout North America.  JTM is Harrison’s largest employer with more than 450 associates. The expansion is projected to support the company for 20 years of sustained growth, and will result in an additional 34 jobs with annual payroll of $1.9 million by 2021.
