Port purchases parking lot at Fifth and Plum, providing options for strategic redevelopment
The Port acquired this surface parking lot in May 2018. Having this strategic parcel south of the Duke Energy Convention Center under public ownership ensures any redevelopment will be in alignment with larger economic development goals. The 250-space lot remains operational until redevelopment plans are finalized. SP+ manages the parking operations for the lot.
