Concord Homes
Walnut Hills | Residential Development | 2025
Concord Street Homes is a completed new-construction residential development led by the Hamilton County Landbank, a managed entity of The Port, in the Walnut Hills neighborhood. The project delivered eight newly built single-family homes on previously vacant and underused parcels, all now sold to income-qualified buyers, expanding access to quality, attainable homeownership.
Priced for households earning up to 120% of Area Median Income and made possible through the City of Cincinnati’s ARPA allocation, the development paired new construction with a first-of-its-kind residential solar model. Four of the eight homes were delivered with rooftop solar at no cost to the buyer.
Sales prices were also kept low through the Shared Growth Program which is rooted in providing opportunities to build home equity at an affordable price point while also supporting a broader community impact.
Impact:
The project aligns with The Port's mission to transform unproductive real estate into opportunities for homeownership and generational wealth. Through new construction and an innovative solar model, these homes stand as a lasting community asset by:- Creating quality, attainable homeownership opportunities for income-qualified buyers
- Lowering monthly utility costs and reducing carbon emissions for homeowners
- Demonstrating a replicable, no-cost residential solar model for future Port and Landbank projects
- Reinforcing Walnut Hills as a place to live, invest, and build equity
- Returning long-vacant lots to productive use and putting new homes where empty parcels once sat
