As we look back on 2025, it’s clear this year was defined by momentum and collaboration across our region. From advancing key development projects to supporting small businesses, homeowners, and neighborhoods, The Port continued its mission of creating opportunities that strengthen our communities and drive long-term impact.

Join The Port for our 2026 Contractor Outreach Session

The Port will host a virtual contractor pre-qualification outreach session on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM via Zoom. This session is designed for contractors, developers, and real estate professionals interested in pursuing work opportunities in 2026.

During the session, staff will review anticipated bidding scopes for the coming year and walk through pre-qualification requirements for future Requests for Proposals. Registration is required to receive the Zoom link.

Contractors are encouraged to register and take the first step toward bidding opportunities in the year ahead.  We hope to see you there!

Legacy Home Improvement Loan Program

The Port’s Legacy Home Improvement Loan Program (Legacy Program) is launching in early 2026. The program supports resident homeowners with critical home repairs, improvements, and energy audits. The Legacy Program offers loans of up to $25,000 at a below-market interest rate, making it an affordable option for homeowners looking to maintain and improve their homes.

Program benefits include:

• Improved home safety, longevity, and value

• Below‑market‑rate financing

• A dedicated program navigator to guide you through the process

• A free home energy audit

The program will initially launch in Avondale, however, all City of Cincinnati residents are welcome to join the waiting list, which is now open! For more information or to join the waiting list, email LegacyProgram@CincinnatiPort.org.

$8 Million NMTC Investment Supports Cincinnati Children’s Infusion Pump Fleet Replacement Project

Cincinnati Children’s is undertaking a major upgrade to one of the most essential components of patient care: its systemwide fleet of infusion pumps. The project will replace all infusion pumps across the health system’s regional footprint, with the most significant need concentrated at the Burnet Campus in Avondale. To support this effort, Uptown Consortium Inc., a managed entity of The Port, allocated $7 million in federal New Markets Tax Credits (NMTCs) and $1 million in state NMTCs, with Capital One serving as the tax credit investor towards the equipment deal.
