There are significant opportunities for impact investors and high performing Development Finance Agencies to collaborate on filling the capital gaps facing cities and neighborhoods working to support urban revitalization. Impact investors can become a major source of capital to grow, create jobs and spur economic and community development in urban areas.
We have created several partnership opportunities for impact investors within our work. Our investors are foundations and high net worth individuals who are willing to invest in a riskier, or lower-return product, because the social impact story is compelling.
Here is what makes us a good pipeline partner of impact deals:
Mission Alignment – Real estate is a key driver of both economic outcomes and quality of life for citizens. We are the only regional economic development agency focused on the public ownership and financing of real estate, for the purpose of building the foundation for job creation and sustainable communities where residents have the opportunity to participate in economic prosperity;
Right Tools -- We are structured to be able to take on calculated real estate and financing risks that advance public objectives;
Technical Expertise & Relationships with Community Development Corporations – We are an effective intermediary between community “boots on the ground” and capital sources.
Foundations and impact investors looking to support urban revitalization should consider partnering with us to unlock transformative development.
