Remington Jackson is Associate Counsel at The Port. He is a member of the legal team, contributing to a range of issues related to real estate transactions and governance across The Port and its managed entities including the Hamilton County Land Reutilization Corporation (Landbank). The Port manages the Landbank, which focuses on returning blighted, abandoned or foreclosed commercial and residential properties to tax-productive use.
Remington’s responsibilities include drafting contracts and other legal documents to fully implement the tools of The Port and Landbank, executing acquisitions and dispositions of real estate property and conducting legal research on behalf of The Port and its managed entities.
Most recently, Remington was an attorney advisor at the Social Security Administration. He previously served as a law clerk at Strauss Troy Co. LPA. He is actively involved in the community, serving as President of the Black Lawyers Association of Cincinnati and as a non-officer Trustee on the Cincinnati Bar Association. He is a member of the Cincinnati Youth Collaborative Young Professionals Board and Cincinnati Bar Association. In 2020, Remington was named to The National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40.
Remington earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Cincinnati College of Law and a BA in Philosophy and Political Science from the College of Wooster.
